A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR OUR COMMUNITY

CEYP - Registered charity number 1098162

About us image

CEYP has been helping young people, their families and the wider communities in Greater London since 1998 and on the Isle of Wight since 2010

By working in partnership with local people of all ages and backgrounds, we enable and support them to make better choices, to take control of their lives and to take advantage of the opportunities available to them

We want them to become happier, healthier, safer and more connected.
To enjoy life and to achieve the things that matter to them.  To create and sustain positive outcomes

Key to our success is the way in which we involve and empower those we help -  in the planning, delivery and evaluation of our services,  to ensure we genuinely meet their needs

If you (or someone you know) need advice or support - please let us know. If we can't help you, we will put you in touch with someone who can.

Use the 'Contact Us' form on this website or email info@ceyp.org  We are usually here Monday to Friday 10am-6pm

I'm really glad I came in here today because I was really worried before.  Thank you for helping me

WB

I like coming here because it's a nice calm place

LMP

I thought you would have given up on me by now but you haven't, so thank you

FP

(Staff) are very welcoming and professional, nothing is too much for them to help with

PC

I did what you suggested and it worked brilliantly!

GJ

I didn't want to meet you today because i'm dyslexic but you made me feel really comfortable and helped me so much

LC

You are the first people that have actually tried to help me.  Everyone else just passed me on or sent me away

GC

Thanks for phoning me to see how I am doing. I really appreciate that. I'm doing well but I've got another problem now, can you make me an appointment?

Volunteer Youth Support Assistant (Age 18+)

CEYP, 4-8 Pound Place, Eltham, London. SE9 5DN - Part Time

Are you good with young people?

Do you have the skills, patience and enthusiasm to give up a few hours of your time a week to help local young people ?

If you answered 'yes' to the above and are willing to make a reasonably regular commitment, then you are exactly what we are looking for!

Don't worry if you haven't done any youth work before - a lot of what we do  should be common sense
We will provide you with excellent on the job training and all the ongoing support you need.
A passion to  give something back to the community is much more important than past experience.

The work will be varied and no days will be the same.  You will be involved in talking to young people and referring them to a youth worker where necessary,  organising activities and events and generally being a positive role model to them.

Oh, and you should be someone who is happy helping us clean and tidy up at the end of the session!!

If this sounds like you, then please contact us, we can't wait to meet you....
We're sorry but to be a Volunteer Youth Support Assistant you must be aged 18 or older.
You must also be reliable, honest and keen to meet and mix with young people, some from difficult backgrounds
We will obtain a DBS Volunteer Disclosure  for you, before you start working with us
